MakerBot Replicator - one of the products set to be distributed by D&H in the U.S.
ArtSystems will soon start distributing the full range of MakerBot products including the award-winning MakerBot Replicator 3D printers - the MakerBot Replicator Desktop 3D Printer, the MakerBot Replicator Mini Compact 3D Printer, the MakerBot Replicator Z18 3D Printer, the MakerBot Replicator 2X Experimental 3D Printer, the MakerBot Replicator 2 Desktop 3D Printer, plus the MakerBot Digitizer Desktop 3D Scanner.
First launched on the market in 2014, these advanced fifth generation printers all share the MakerBot 3D Printing Platform that includes MakerBot app and cloud-enabled 3D printing, and gives instant access to Thingiverse.com, MakerBot's 3D design community for discovering, printing and sharing free 3D models. All of these models also have an on-board camera for monitoring and sharing, along with the new MakerBot Smart Extruder that is easy to swap or replace and tells the user if it needs to be replaced.
To ensure the success of MakerBot in the UK, ArtSystems are now working with high quality resellers to help continue the growth of MakerBot and give the company a greater presence in key market sectors. As part of a channel development drive, ArtSystems will be holding 3D events throughout September which will address all of the key market sectors for MakerBot.
Steve Hawker, Managing Director, commented: “This partnership is a tremendous opportunity for us to continue building our reseller channel by offering the leading brand in the entry level desktop 3D printer market. MakerBot have seen the work we have done in developing other channels and see a very clear fit with how their market is developing.”
The partnership reinforces MakerBot's recent developments in the European market where the company launched eight localised MakerBot ServiceCenters to expand its presence across the region. The latest distribution deal in the UK will once again expand the industry leader's footprint across the global 3D printing market.
