The partnership comes into effect on March 1st 2017 as both companies aim to benefit from the other’s strengths in the industry to develop industrial applications for 3D printing.
Innofil3D, a manufacturer of 3D printing filaments, is to become the preferred materials supplier for Tractus3D through a new partnership agreement.
The partnership comes into effect on March 1st as both companies aim to benefit from the other’s strengths in the industry to develop industrial applications for 3D printing.
Based in Ammerzoden, Netherlands, Tractus3D considers itself as a specialist in the manufacturing of industrial Fused Deposition Modelling (FDM) 3D printers. Developing machines that can operate at high temperatures, the company is committed to serving the most demanding users. Also providing desktop models, printers for educational requirements and large format 3D printers able to print up to 2.1 metres, Tractus3D boasts a broad range of high-end 3D technology. The company’s models are also able to process Polycarbonate (PC), POM, Ultem and PEEK materials.
Innofil3D, by the end of 2015, had fully implemented its strategy to develop 3D printing filaments for industrial applications. Last year saw the release of PRO1, the first material to be released in the Professional Series range. With a tensile strength greater than that of printed ABS, an improved impact strength and flexural strength, PRO1 met many of the demands of users who desire easy-to-print filaments, dimensional consistency of their prints and high surface quality of their models. PRO1 also features an increased printing speed. Due to an improved flow rate, the filament can operate at printing speeds of 150mm/second, reducing the print time by up to 80%.

“Working with a partner like Tractus3D strengthens our conviction to realise industrial solutions,” - Roger Sijlbing, Sales Manager, Innofil3D.
It was for these reasons why Tractus3D approached Innofil3D to strike up a partnership. Ben Schilperoort, the CEO of Tractus3D, explains: “Professionals are the primary target group for us and they have a demand for high performance materials. Our printers are used by professionals who set high standards. We believe that this group will benefit from a filament like PRO1 which has excellent mechanical properties and is also easy to process.
“With Innofil3D we have found a partner that understands the requirements of our target group and we are convinced that our customers will benefit from this partnership. Innofil3D will supply us with standard 750g reels and will also deliver filaments on 4.5kg and 8.5kg reels.”
Roger Sijlbing, the Sales Manager at Innofil3D is equally enthused about this new partnership and what it will mean for Innofil3D, as well as the industry on a wider scale.
“Working with a partner like Tractus3D strengthens our conviction to realise industrial solutions,” said Sijlbing. “Their high-end printers enable us to introduce materials which were previously almost impossible to 3D print. As the Tractus3D 3D printers are built to process these high-performance materials we believe that this collaboration is a perfect match. We start with our PRO1 which offers a solution in terms of improved mechanical properties and efficiency. Reducing your processing time with 30%-80% is a massive advantage especially if you print bigger than desktop size.”
