World’s Advanced Saving Project (WASP), an Italian scheme focused on the development of 3D printing, is to present a host of new 3D technology this week at Mecspe Parma 2017.
Running from the 23rd March to the 25th, the Mecspe is a manufacturing exhibition, offering a complete overview of materials, machines and technologies. WASP believes this to be the perfect place to launch five new products.
The new products include three lines of 3D printer, and two new extruders.
A revised version of WASP’s classic DeltaWASP 2040 Turbo, the DeltaWASP 2040 Turbo2 3D printer brings even more accuracy and reliability. Mounting a new integrated 32bit card of industrial class, it provides a power system that can support two high-power extruders, though the second extruder is optional. The Turbo2 also presents a new sliding trolley system that increases the speed and precision, and is equipped with a cooling system of the motors and tabs.
Meanwhile, WASP is releasing an industrial line of 3D printers, based on identical technology. The first instalment, the DeltaWASP 4070 Industrial, tailored for industrial usage, is made entirely of metal, and boasts a heated work space with forced ventilation, paying special consideration to thermal insulation and noise. It also has an integrated flue gas cleaning system and new mechanics designed to work in a warm room.
The second instalment of the Industrial series, the DeltaWASP 3MT Industrial, has an insulated chamber for the thermal and acoustic insulation, completely closed structure and metal that eliminates any vibration in the printing phase. This ensures a print of higher quality and finish. WASP claim the DeltaWASP 3MT Industrial brings such surface quality it is of comparison to that of small printers, but with high print area to the cube. The 3MT’s extruder can be equipped with nozzles of 0.4mm, 0.7mm, 1.2mm and 3mm diameters.
In addition to the three new 3D printing machines, comes two new extruders. The Spitfire is a high precision extruder for quick prints of objects from small to large, able to store up to 30m of wire per hour. The Zen Extruder, meanwhile, is a double extruder essential for printing multi-material, with cleaning and variable height of the nozzles controlled by the movement itself of the machine system.
WASP will be presenting these new technologies at Pad. 6 Stand K032 at Mecspe Parma for the duration of the exhibition.
