Dassault Systèmes has announced that its 3DEXPERIENCE platform for Academia is now available on the cloud with simplified access to the world leader in 3D design software’s product design, digital manufacturing, realistic simulation and collaborative innovation applications.
With several years experience collaborating with the education sector, Dassault Systèmes has created a flexible, tailored set of solutions to provide simple collaboration tools between teachers, researchers, students and industry mentors.
The cloud based 3DEXPERIENCE platform for Academia helps teachers and students complete projects through innovative teaching and learning practices. Designed for easy deployment and maintenance, the cloud platform enables access to secured data anytime, anywhere eliminating the need for complex IT infrastructure in a institution.
The disciplinary reach of the new platform has been extended to support educational, research and organizational processes in design and engineering, systems engineering, manufacturing and now architecture and civil engineering.
According to Michel Michaud, Instructor at École nationale d’aérotechnique in Canada and one of the first to use this cloud offering through a preliminary testing program, said the 3DEXPERIENCE for Academia took just under an hour to get up and running.
Academia’s intuitive web-based user interface means teachers can easily employ distance education, massive open online courses (MOOC) or flipped classroom programs with domestic or international collaborative environments. The platform on the cloud ensures that students always have access to the latest version of their work and allows teachers to remotely monitor projects.
