3D Builder trophy design 3D printed in ceramic material.
The 3D Builder Windows Store app was created to make loading, manipulating and printing 3D models simpler and the release of the R5 version of the app features enhancements for better control, materials and design options.
The partnership with 3D printing giant 3D Systems means that users can access an expanded material set beyond typically used consumer plastics. These include a range of opaque and frosted plastics to metallic, full colour “Colorstone” and ceramics.
The application has also been updated for better user accuracy in the creation of 3D models. This includes a complete overhaul of the main control with optimisations for touch and usability and a new selection control feature that lets you easily manage the selection state of multiple parts on the virtual build platform.

There is also a new trophy design feature which gives users access to a collection of trophy 3D models that can be customised to create personalised designs.
Using 3D Systems cloud printing service, Cubify, users can now print 3D models from the app without having to own a 3D printer. Prints can be ordered via a ‘Buy Print’ option and mailed to the user within two weeks.
