RP Platform has launched a feature which will allow users to fully integrate the company’s additive manufacturing software solutions with their preferred email system.
The AM software specialist has sought to make its programs compatible with the most widely-used email systems, including Gmail, Microsoft Office and Exchange. The feature displays RP Platform's commitment to streamlining workflows and managing customer requests, quotations and communications.
Introduced last week, the feature has been launched following a lengthy period of development, which included testing and consultation with long-time users of RP Platforms solutions.
“This new feature has been a long time in development,” Keyvan Karimi, Company Founder & CEO said. “Ever since we launched RP Platform, we’ve seen over and over again that email integration is a huge gap in most AM companies’ workflow management processes, with no solution available that offered the functionality or versatility that AM workflows demand. Given the percentage of customer communication that now takes place via email, this will prove a stumbling block for many AM companies, particularly during this period of rapid growth and innovation the sector is enjoying.”
The update enables work from ongoing projects and communication channels to be brought together with ease. Users will have their emails and workflow systems integrated, without the need for additional admin. The feature automates the users’ system, creating a file independently when a customer makes a request via email. RP Platform’s goal is to support its clients in the better managing of communications, saving them time and effort in the process, and ultimately allowing them to concentrate on other aspects of their services. Companies can now have a more efficient project lifecycle, according to RP Platform, from initial quote right the way through to delivery of the final part.
“The new feature has gone live and is already available to all our clients, as is the case with all updates we roll out,” added Karimi. “Going forward, it will be offered as a standard part of our product for all new users. We’re confident this type of strategic automation will benefit all areas of AM operations, leaving companies perfectly positioned to deliver a better customer journey and uncover innovative new solutions to the sector’s evolving challenges.”
