TYPE EDIT V12
Type 3, part of the Garvotech Group, has announced the release of the latest incarnation of its leasing CAD/CAM software.
TYPE EDIT V12 has been developed for industrial and artistic modeling, design, engraving and cutting, dedicated to NC machines. The new edition introduces a "fresh, new, modern interface", with new features in both 2D and 3D machining.
Moreover, the new software package includes new import filters, more and easier scripting possibilities and offers users increased efficiency and creativity to all its users.
The new TYPE EDIT V12 has been reformatted in favour of an easier-to-use interface which appears more modern. It s new Quick Access Toolbar (QAT) categorises the main features of TYPE EDIT - the features users access most frequently so they need to be permanently visible and easy to access.
The QAT is common to all tabs and can be personalised to ensure even greater ease of use. Each individual user can, therefore, create their own working environment, positioning and selecting their own tabs and tools, creating as many environments as they wish be it by job or application, customer preferences or material type etc.
Each wizard has been enhanced in TYPE EDIT V12 CAD/CAM package, so whether it concerns the look and feel of the user interface, or any of the operating modes, all have been enhanced to ensure users can work efficiently and with minimal fuss.
The new incarnation of the software offers new 2D and 2.5D design tool functions and possibilities, while the Type 3 research and development team has been working on improving existing features. For example, scripts are an automatic way to link a series of operations determined by the user and executed by TYPE EDIT. They ensure users automate a series of operations they regularly do for a specific job, thereby reducing errors and speeding up the process.
Elsewhere, the new LED feature has been developed specifically for the sign industry, answering the growing demand for LED (light-emitting diode) layouts. TYPE EDIT V12 allows the easy creation of a LED job that can be used either for cost estimates or manufacture.
3D and CAM capabilities are not outdone either. TYPE ART, TYPE EDIT’s 3D mode introduces a larger work area, “S” shape section, extrusion possibilities, Revolved TYPE ART, new fractal textures, and much more. Reports, tools and new preview functions also help professionals make the most of powerful functionalities both in CAD and in CAM, for always higher accuracy and speed.
