Roboze One
Desktop 3D printer manufacturer Roboze has revealed that its second-generation Roboze One +400 3D printer is being used in the production department at Mecaer Aviation Group (MAG), a manufacturer of custom interiors for luxury helicopters.
MAG’s fleet already benefits from 3D printing solutions used primarily for conceptual and aesthetic models but with the installation of the Roboze machine, the company is able to manufacture end-use parts using advanced materials such as PEEK, PEI and Carbon filled nylon.
"We are not new in using 3D printers - until now mainly used to validate the work of designers and have aesthetic conceptual models of different details of our own design,” Eng. Massarelli, head of the development division at MAG, explained. “We always look to the future, seeking solutions, products and always cutting-edge processes. With the new Roboze One + 400 our company will become functional. We have already begun to print the finished products, not prototypes, but the final components printed in engineering plastics such as PEEK and PEI that will be installed directly after a rigorous validation process, on our upcoming helicopters.”
Roboze has been working with MAG on R&D to understand the needs of the aviation industry: mechanical and thermal properties of materials, precision and repeatability. The Roboze One +400 with its unique belt-less system and range of high-performance materials has been developed to meet these requirements.
