3D printed Christmas tree decoration
T'was the night before Christmas, when all through TCT,
Not a creature was stirring, not even RB.
The Up! was set up in the workshop with care,
In hopes the next day Dan's ThingiThursday'd be there.
Editorial were nestled all smug in their beds.
With visions of 3Doodlers and Cubes in their heads,
Duncan put down the laptop, Carol went to sleep,
And Jim didn't check his iPhone - not even a peek.
When back in the office, there was a great racket,
When the filament got stuck inside the packet,
The Up! gave a grunt and there was a great flash,
And it looked like another ThingiThursday was set to crash.
But outside TCT Towers standing in the car park,
Was something sneaking about in the dark.
I know what you're thinking, but it wasn't our Jonesey,
But a little red sleigh and eight antlered ponies.
The driver heard the sounds from inside TCT,
And knew them 'cause he's got a RepRap, you see.
Without setting off the alarm, he crept in without sound,
And stopped the Up! from burning the office down.
Then, for fun, he got the Sense 3D scanner,
And captured his likeness in a comical manner,
The screen picked up his face and round belly,
Which then got distorted because it wobbled like jelly.
The next morning, the team came in to find,
The present Father Christmas left behind,
So, Dan's ThingiThursday was better than planned,
It was a little, jolly, plastic fat man.
