As we all know, APAC region is growing rapidly and represents a key strategic focus for Huntsman Advanced Materials, to support and consolidate the sustainable development of our businesses. To address the region's considerable challenges and opportunities, we are actively looking for talented candidates in three specific functions detailed below, qualifying for expatriate terms and benefits.
Focus: The primary accountability of this role is to make a key contribution to the design, build up and launching of the lab'. You will participate in the selection and recruitment of the new lab' team and then structure and manage their subsequent work.
Start: Early Q3 2010
KEY REQUIREMENTS
Education: A Ph.D. in chemical engineering, polymer/materials science & engineering, mechanical engineering or Advanced University degree
Experiences: 10 years plus in a technical laboratory/research and/or product development environment focused on thermosetting materials processing and testing
Technology Competencies:
Demonstrate an advanced level of practice in rheology, chemo-rheology and computa-
tional fluid dynamics related to thermosetting materials systems
Demonstrate and advanced level of practice in the controlled processing of thermosetting materials systems
Demonstrate an intermediate to advanced level of practice in finite element analyses and predictive simulation and modelling of materials (monte-carlo, atomistic, meso and macro scale)
Demonstrate intermediate to advanced level of practice in polymer and chemical analysis (thermal, thermo-mechanical, chromatographic and spectroscopic)
Demonstrate an advanced level of practice in the mechanical and electrical characterization and testing of themoset, filled thermoset and composite materials
Demonstrate an advanced level of practice in materials processing of themoset, filled thermoset and composite materials
Demonstrate a basic level of practice in chemical hazard classification and toxicology

Directly lead and manage the team’s activities, providing all support, resources needed to achieve goals set for the team

Ensure each member of the team has clarity around his/her role and contribution with clearly set and smartly designed goals for the year.
Develop and manage a team of technical expertise that possess the required technology capabilities and competencies levels
Drive testings and support processes, make suggestions for improvements
