Singapore-based dental 3D-printing company, Structo last weekend launched the DentaForm machine at the Association of Orthodontists Singapore 2017 show.

Hosted at Marina Bay Sands, the AOSC 2017 show took place from Friday 24^th February through to Sunday February 26^th. Structo saw the event as the perfect place to launch the latest of its 3D technologies tailored for the dental industry.

Following the success of the Structo OrthoForm printer, which was launched last year and now operating in four different continents, the company has expanded its range of application-specific 3D printers.

“We are revolutionising digital dentistry by breaking through the speed limits of 3D printers today,” said Huub van Esbroeck, one of Structo’s founders. “The Structo DentaForm will open up a whole new range of dental applications that can now work with our lightning-fast Mask Stereolithography (MSLA) technology.”

The Structo DentaForm is capable of printing at 50 micrometres (x/y) accuracy, and boasts a large build platform measuring 200x150mm. It has been designed to print highly accurate precision models, such as for the fitting of crowns and bridges in the area of restorative dentistry. With this new machine, dental professionals are now capable of printing full arches and quadrants with immense precision, that can be reproduced at a high throughput.

Druhn Sahgal, Structo’s Head of Business Development and Sales recounted that although clients were impressed with the rapid work of the OrthoForm, there was still a desire for a printer that produces higher quality models. Sahgal believes the DentaForm does just that.  

“Customers who have experienced the speed of MSLA through the OrthoForm have been asking for a higher resolution solution for the printing of precisions models,” said Sahgal. “We are excited and proud to bring that solution to market with the DentaForm.”

Founded in 2014, Structo has established itself as a leading dental 3D printing company. Having launched its DentaForm at the AOSC 2017 conference, Structo will also be exhibiting its solutions at the upcoming International Dental Show (IDS) 2017 in Cologne, Germany, between 21-25^th March 2017.
