Airwolf 3D's EVO 22 machine
Airwolf 3D, a developer of desktop 3D printing systems, has announced the EVO 22 large format machine.
It’s the latest instalment of the company’s product portfolio, which continues to deliver increasingly large 3D printers fit for operation atop of a desk/ workstation in the X and Z axes. The EVO 22 is designed for the manufacture of sizeable parts thanks to its 12 x 12 x 22.75-inch build volume and Tri-Heat technology which comprises two internal chamber heaters and a high-temperature heat bed. Airwolf’s new machine also boasts an air cleansing system, auto-levelling and calibration, FailSafe and PartSave features that continue a paused print when the print head is placed back in the right position, and also in the occurrence of a power outage.
The machine’s 22.75-inch build height is more than a foot higher than the original EVO system, which was unveiled at CES 2018, and a couple of inches taller than the Axiom 20 that was brought to market in November 2016. It demonstrates the company’s growth from delivering a series of consumer desktop printers compatible with just ABS and PLA materials from 2012 through 2014, to now offering viable manufacturing solutions with 3.276-cubic-inch build volumes and the ability to print in more than 40 materials.
The EVO 22 machine is available for purchase for $11,995, through Airwolf 3D and its resellers, and is scheduled to start shipping in September 2018.
