AMFG has announced it is expanding into Germany with the opening of a Munich office dedicated to sales and customer support.
The company is headquartered in London, UK with a second office in Lisbon, Portugal, and is hoping by establishing a presence in a third European country it will help to expand its network of customers within the continent. In line with this growing client base, AMFG will also work to enhance its product offering.
Last month, the company received financial backing from Innovate UK to develop its machine learning technology for its AM software platform. This platform enables users track and log every stage of the additive manufacturing workflow using machine data analytics. The technology is harnessed by the likes of Bowman Additive Production, Paragon Rapid Technologies, ARRK Europe, and ACEO, a subsidiary of Wacker Chemie AG. AMFG is working with these companies to try and achieve full machine integration and connectivity.
The company's Munich office is already in operation with three employees set to grow to more than ten by 2020.
“The decision to expand our presence into Germany was a logical step in our business growth strategy,” commented Felix Doerr, AMFG’s Head of R&D and Partnerships. “Germany has long been a hub for industrial additive manufacturing. As we continue to increase our presence within the enterprise sector, having an additional sales team in Munich will bring us closer to many of the industry’s leading manufacturers and to our existing customer base, both in Germany and on the continent.
“In 2019, we’re heavily focused on ensuring that our software solutions remain best-in-class and enable manufacturers to scale their AM facilities.”
