ARRK Europe has launched a new online quoting and ordering service for parts additively manufactured with stereolithography (SLA) and selective laser sintering (SLS).
The company largely uses these 3D printing technologies to produce prototypes for its clients, and has developed a new online portal to make the process of ordering a prototype more time-efficient. After initial registration, customers can simply upload their CAD data, specify their requirements, and receive an instant quotation.
ARRK says it has introduced the new service to answer the growing demand for 3D printed parts, and specifically purchasing them online. Now, ARRK believes it has struck a good balance between its personal service, offered through its projects teams in Gloucester and Teeside for more involved jobs, and its online presence.
“With enquiries for 3D printing increasing significantly, launching ‘ARRK Online’ will allow us to respond more quickly to our customers, regardless of what time of day or night,” commented Rupert Sleightholme, Projects Manager at ARRK Europe. “ARRK were one of the early pioneers of 3D printing services and we recognised that we needed to provide this additional method for clients to get a quote and place an order outside of traditional office hours.”
The company has a vast array of facilities dotted around Europe, including rapid prototyping locations in France, Spain, Poland, the Netherlands, and the UK. Initially the new online quoting and ordering service will be rolled out to just the UK, but there are plans in place to extend it throughout Europe ‘in the not too distant future.’
