Ntron Gas Measurement Ltd has this week opened a new 30,000 square-foot manufacturing facility in Navan, Ireland.
The company has been operating just outside of Dublin for more than 30 years and specialises in oxygen and gas measurement in markets such as the pharmaceutical, gas generation, and additive manufacturing industries. It has sought the launch of a new facility in order to grow the services it offers and expand its skilled workforce.
Currently, Ntron employs 36 staff and has established a network of OEMs, strategic partners and distributors. The company has supplied more than 1200 customers in 50 countries with its oxygen and gas measurement systems, among them the likes of Pfizer, Henkel, and Abbott Laboratories. It is also a member of the Process Sensing Technologies group.
Ntron’s new manufacturing facility has been earmarked as the next stage in the company’s development, allowing it to better deal with the wants and needs of existing and new customers around the world.
“We are delighted to be launching this state-of-the-art manufacturing facility that will enable our company to support continued growth and better support the demands of our customers,” commented David Beirne, Ntron Managing Director.
At the official opening of the facility, Ntron welcomed Damien English TD, the Minister of State, Housing and Urban Development, and Stephen Creaner of Enterprise Ireland. The former congratulated the company on its growth, citing its engineering proficiencies, while the latter committed his organisation's ongoing support.
“Ntron has been part of Navan life for over 30 years. A company with global ambition, Ntron are now selling into multiple markets including Europe, the US, and even as far as India and China,” said English TD. “This 30,000 square-foot expansion gives the company the increased capacity it needs to meet the increasing global demand for specialised gas measurement units. I am also delighted to learn that Ntron have experienced significant growth over a number of years and now employ 36 staff. This success is attributable to the technical skills that you have on site here in Navan and demonstrates the exceptional engineering talent, coupled with a strong and driven management team of the business."
“Enterprise Ireland has worked closely with Ntron over a number of years to support the company in their growth phase to become a market leader,” added Creaner, Executive Director, Enterprise Ireland. “It is exciting to see this highly innovative company go from strength-to-strength with further plans for its R&D roadmap and recruitment here in Navan. Enterprise Ireland will continue to work with Ntron as they build scale and expand their global market reach.”
