Pluralsight, a global leader in online learning for technology professionals has announced the appointment of Autodesk's Andy Rahden as vice president of creative, design and engineering as the company expands into 3D design and engineering training.
In this newly created position, Rahden will be responsible for Pluralsight’s creative skills course strategy and will help grow the company’s 3D design and engineering author network, with a goal to recruit 300 new expert authors to actively publish courses on the learning platform within the next six months.

Moving to Pluralsight from Autodesk where he led technical teams that supported worldwide marketing and sales initiatives for the company’s suite of 3D design products, Rahden has also spent time at drilling contractor Baker Hughes before moving into leadership positions in the CAD software industry including GoEngineer.
Rahden, added: “With the constant evolution of technology, it’s critical for individuals and businesses to stay current in their industry, and I’m excited to help deliver online solutions that will significantly advance the world’s pool of knowledge in creative, design and engineering skills.”
Pluralsight’s expansion into the design and engineering space will include courses on popular software from Autodesk, SolidWorks and more. Courses will also be taught in manufacturing, architecture, industrial design, and mechanical design. The new content will be available to all Pluralsight users beginning in October 2015.
