ExOne a global provider of industrial additive manufacturing machines, today announced that its production service centres (PSCs) in North Huntingdon, Pa. and Troy, Mich. have been certified to ISO 9001:2008 as Industrial Additive Manufacturers by DAS Certification.
This certification means all five of ExOne’s PSCs in North America including Auburn, Wash., Houston, Texas, and Las Vegas, Nev, now have ISO certification. ISO 9001:2008 certification designates that the ExOne’s quality management systems conform to the specific requirements of the International Organisation for Standardisation.
The certification standard is based on eight quality management principles, including a strong customer focus, commitment of top management, a process approach and continuous improvement.
Receiving ISO 9001:2008 certification helps ensure that ExOne’s customers receive consistently high quality products and services. To achieve the certification, ExOne had to demonstrate its consistent ability to provide products that meet customer and applicable statutory requirements, while enhancing customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system including continuous improvement and the assurance of conformity.
“Receiving ISO certification demonstrates that ExOne’s binder jetting 3D printing technology consistently meets our customers’ expectations and product quality standards for industrial usage,” explained Tim Pierce, ExOne’s U.S. Chief Operating Officer. "By earning this certification at all of our North American facilities, ExOne customers recognize that they can achieve a high-level of service and quality regardless of their business region or printing application."
