The Barnes Group Advisors and SLM Solutions North America have partnered to offer training in additive manufacturing (AM).
The companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding last month and are hoping to address an identified knowledge gap around AM technologies in a bid to educate potential customers so they can feel more assured about their investing in the technology.
Through the partnership, The Barnes Group Advisors will provide training courses relative to key industry standards for SLM Solutions’ customer and contacts. This offering will be available during the sales process and will include multiple courses, some focusing on design (Accelerate AM), others on technology and materials (Focus AM), and also business and economics (Empower AM) and the ‘essentials’ of additive manufacturing (Discover AM). Additionally, the collaboration will make available custom class offerings for CT inspection, specialised metal powder training, and so on, to SLM’s current customers to maximise the return on investment and power new applications. Support for customer development projects will also be offered by The Barnes Group Advisors as and when necessary.
