Looking to take your first step towards a career in one of the world’s most promising tech industries? Well MakerBot is offering passionate, driven and talented students the chance to do just that as its summer internship program returns for 2015.
The leading desktop 3D printing brand is now taking applications for its 2015 MakerBot Summer Intern Program from college students seeking valuable work experience at one of New York’s fastest-growing tech companies.
Paid positions include engineering, manufacturing, production, customer support, sales, marketing, public relations, software and business development. Previous MakerBot interns have gone on to work at other top technology companies, as well as come back to work at MakerBot.
As part of the internship experience, participants will attend special lectures and participate in programs on 3D printing within their area of expertise, as well as interact with senior leadership. The program begins with an orientation on June 15, 2015, and concludes on August 14, 2015.
“MakerBot has had a robust internship program since finding and mentoring young talent is an integral part of our company culture,” said Jenny Lawton, CEO of MakerBot. “At MakerBot, interns aren’t just observers; they get to work on real projects and gain valuable experience that we believe will help them kick-start their careers. We see 3D printing as a tool that is necessary to prepare students for the jobs of tomorrow, and our interns get the unique opportunity to experience and learn about the fast-growing 3D printing market first hand.”
MakerBot is working to empower young people with a growing presence in educational institutions across the U.S. via MakerBot Innovation Centres that encourage students to work with 3D printing.
