RP America will sell, service and support RAPLAS systems throughout the U.S.
3D printer manufacturer, RAPLAS has announced its machines are being shipped to North America for the first time following a successful debut at the Additive Manufacturing User Group (AMUG) Conference last month.
The company, which specialises in industrial stereolithography systems, established a partnership with Iowa-based 3D printing solutions company, RP America, at the event to sell, service and support its systems throughout the North American market.
RP America already supplies a number of additive technologies and materials to the market including stereolithography, plastic-extrusion and metal solutions and brings with it a decade of experience in the AM industry.
Speaking about the partnership, President of RP America, Dan Terpstra commented: “We are very happy to be the first North American Distributor for this ground-breaking range of AM technologies. We have worked with Rory and known the capabilities of RAPLAS Technologies for some time and see RAPLAS as a great solution for our customers’ needs."
Rory Jackson, CEO of RAMP Inc., RAPLAS’ US organisation based in the Chicago area, added: “Having opened the US office in the Chicago area, this is a fantastic opportunity and endorsement of RAPLAS tech, the team behind the brand and our specialist distributor, RP America.”
Jackson was also awarded a prestigious D.I.N.O. (Distinguished INnovator Operator) award at this year’s AMUG Conference, an industry accolade awarded to individuals with the highest levels of additive manufacturing expertise and willingness to share their knowledge.
The news marks a first for the company as it ramps up delivery of its machines onto the North American market with plans for expanded distribution on the horizon. RAPLAS will also further its presence in the North American market at RAPID + TCT next week where the company will be exhibiting at Detroit’s Cobo Center on booth #457 from 21-23 May.
