Stratasys hits the trail in 3DRV

Stratasys is hitting the road on an eight-month-long adventure around the US, spreading the 3D printing word and enlightening those who are yet to realise the full potential of this disruptive technology.

Leading 3D printing industry pioneer Stratasys has announced it is sponsoring a coast-to-coast 3D printing roadshow out of a special tour vehicle, the 3DRV.

The 3DRV will traverse the broad landscape of the US, exploring how 3D printing and additive manufacturing are changing the way innovators are approaching design and manufacturing and the possible implications this disruptive technology has for society both at home and on a global scale.

This tour of the States began in May in San Francisco and on Monday June 30th the 3DRV will park up at Stratasys HQ in Minneapolis - just one of the 100 stops the tour bus will make on its long trip. Moreover, the adventure is being documented by TJ McCue, a 3D printing enthusiast, writer and Refine Digital owner. His films and digital logs of the roadshow will allow 3D printing fans to interact with Stratasys and learn more about this maturing technology in real life situations.

Gilad Gans, President of North America Operations for Stratasys, said: "We believe that 3D printing is revolutionising how products are designed and manufactured, providing new opportunities to businesses and manufacturers of all size.

“Like the internet in the 1990s and smartphones in the last decade, 3D printing technology is expected to become highly accessible, and it is likely poised to usher in a new world of design and manufacturing possibilities."
