Rapid News and TCT
Left: Rapid News Europe from 1996 — the precursor to TCT and Rachel's first issue as Associate EditorRight: TCT is now global with the launch of the iPad Edition
If you have been a regular reader of TCT for the last 16 years, or Personalize since it’s inception earlier this year, or indeed an attendee at TCT Live you will be aware that Rachel Park has been a significant part of the TCT family for quite some time!
It was therefore quite a shock when Rachel decided not to accept the offer of a new contract with Rapid News and to move on to pastures new. We will be sad to see her go, but new beginnings are always exciting and change can be refreshing. We wish Rachel the very best of luck with her new adventures in 3D printing and beyond, and thank her for her years with the magazine, websites and conference since she first joined the team back in 1996.
On a personal level, Rachel was responsible for hiring me in 2007 when she was Editorial Director — it was from that point on that I realised that she was blessed with a superior intellect! Although Rachel left the role of editor on TCT a few years ago, she remained involved in the conference stream for TCT Live. Her move opens up new opportunities for me and the team to build on the solid foundations she laid for the magazine and the conference as the group continues to grow.
Across TCT and Personalize (whether in print, online, on tablet, or in person) Rapid News has the two leading brands in all things additive — from hackerpace to aerospace. I am looking forward to bringing you all that is new from 3D printing, additive manufacturing and beyond.
