Amongst the countless giant machinery at TCT Show and Interplas, there's a small revolution happening. In case you hadn't noticed it desktop 3D printing has matured, it has matured to a state whereby it is no longer a gimmicky hype-driven beast but a tool for engineers to actually use on their desktops not just sit there requiring some further fine tuning.
Barcelona-based 3D printer manufacturer BCN3D have launched the Sigmax, its biggest, most-professional machine to date.
BCN3D's Independent Dual Extruder system, IDEX is deployed to get the most out of the huge 420 x 289 x 210 mm, allowing users to print the same model using both tool head simultaneously.
To complement the Sigmax launch has developed a new version of its software, BCN3D-Cura, which builds upon the popular open source slicing technology making features like duplicate and mirror 3D printing a synch.
“From BCN3D Technologies we are proud to announce a new complementary product of the BCN3D Sigma, increasing our current product range and welcoming the new Sigmax to the BCN3D family”, states Roger Uceda, CEO of BCN3D Technologies. “This product release will allow our partners and us to easily meet the customer’s needs, providing more accurate solutions for each vertical market. Our goal is to defy the current manufacturing status quo and, thanks to the BCN3D Sigmax and its highly productive features, we are convinced we’ve taken a new step in the right direction.”
