3D Printing A New Generation of Implants

Carsten Engel, CTO at Xilloc shares his experience in integrating industrial 3D printing systems to power a new generation of patient specific implants.

Following R&D projects in the field of biomedical and aerospace applications, Carsten Engel has helped industrial companies and clients to integrate 3D Printing in the production chain and understand how to re-design parts in function of the technology and material. As a result, several companies have now integrated state-of-the-art metal printers thanks to his consultancy work in the BeNeLux. Here Carsten shares his insights as CTO at Xilloc where he is integrating state-of-the-art 3D Printing industrial systems into the company’s production chain.
