3YOURMIND has announced the launch of the AM Summit, a virtual online conference designed to help attendees better implement additive manufacturing (AM) technologies.
The service portal and software provider will host five speakers and four sessions on August 28th, 10am – 3.30pm CEST.
Appealing to engineers and managers from all industries, 3YOURMIND is aiming to educate those tuning in about industrial 3D printing and how their organisation may benefit from adopting the technologies.
Kicking off the summit will be Norman Koerschulte of Karl Koerschulte GmbH, and Frederik Diergarten, of PVH FUTURE LAB of E/D/E. Koerschulte and Diergarten will take participants through the different challenges AM presents and how to overcome them, exampling E/D/E’s experiences. They will discuss partnerships and processes, and how the organisation has been able to grow its AM business in the German metal industry.
Then, to close the morning session, 3YOURMIND’s own Dominik Lindenberger, AMPI Product Manager, will address the identification of suitable applications. In particular, Lindenberger will focus on the four primary points that the company’s AMPI software uses to reveal the parts most efficiently produced using AM.
Boleslaw Telesinski, Head of AM Services, will consider 3D data and how to make it printable, discussing the entire process, including errors and fixes. Concluding the summit will be Dr.-ing. Iman Taha, Head of Materials and Testing Technology, Fraunhofer IGVC. Dr. Taha will look at the future of materials in the space, presenting the results of a study that looked into the potential impact of mixed material constructions, regarding weight, quality and strength of 3D printed parts.
Registration to the AM Summit is free of charge, and all talks will be in English.
