Not to be confused with operatic vocal quartet, Il Divo, is 3D printer manufacturer from Japan, L-Devo

The FDM machine manufacturer is currently specialising in supply to the Japanese enterprise market where one representative tells me it has been extremely successful.

There are four versions of the company's multi-material 3D printer, ranging in incremental sizes. At the 3D Printing Tokyo 2017 event the manufacturer, which was established in 2014, is also demonstrating a large scale 3D printer to match that of Big Rep and 3D Platform

Its booth is drawing quite the crowd, not for the fact that all the machines are running live but for the adult human sized model of anime character, Lala from the extremely popular series To Love-Ru

Despite the slightly cynical sex sells centre piece, one must admire the finishing of the model. Everything on Lala was 3D printed on the big experimental L-Devo machine and finished by hand by one of Japan's top figurine makers.

It is, certainly drawing attention, and now the L-Devo is planning on focusing more globally, expect Lala at a trade show near you.
