Airwolf 3D
Hawk3DProto
Airwolf 3D, the Southern Californian desktop 3d printer manufacturers, count amongst their customers; NASA, Boeing, Dreamworks, HP, Siemens, Honeywell, Lockheed Martin and a host of other blue chip companies. Offering ‘Made in America’ quality and service along with printers that support a host of materials out-of-the-box from standard ABS to laybrick, it is easy to see why the big boys have turned to Airwolf 3D and their range of printers.
Having a look through that list there’s one thing you may notice - no British companies. Until now the only way you could get an Airwolf 3D machine in Blighty was to have it imported, sort your own plugs and deal with a support service that was upwards of seven hours behind.
Fortunately the popular printers now have a sole distributor/reseller in the UK and Ireland, Hawk3DProto - the 3D printing division of established tooling solutions company Cutwel. Hawk3DProto was featured in this month’s TCT as the team visited the newly opened impressive showroom, which is open to appointments for demonstrations of the latest and greatest in 3D Printers.
To coincide with the acquisition of the sole Uk & Ireland rights to distribute the full-range of Airwolf 3D printers, Hawk3DProto have proudly launched their new website, which features an online shop for both printers and consumables as well as a 3D Printing Bureau service section that allows you to upload a file and receive a quote for the costs of the print.
Senior 3D Printing Manager Ben Hawkworth told TCT “The Airwolf 3D printers are the product that we really felt were missing from our increasing range, being able to print in multi-materials on a huge build platform are huge benefits and we’re delighted to be working with Airwolf 3D”
Hawk3DProto will have the AW3DHDx and the AW3DHD2x in stock right away with availability of the rest of the range on request. Both machines have extruder heads that can reach temps of up to 320°C, which allows them to print in materials like Nylon and Polycarbonate as well as traditional ABS all of which are also available in the Hawk3DProto website.
The Airwolf 3D printers join a growing list of machines including the BEEVERYCREATIVE BEETHEFIRST, the UP! Plus 2 and Stratasys’ more professional Idea Series of printers, all of which are now available through the Yorkshire-based firm.
Hawk3DProto will be exclusively demonstrating their range of machines at this years TCT Show + Personalize on stand H38. The show will be the UK debut for the Airwolf 3D machines and a chance for visitors to see what appealed to the likes of Boeing and NASA about the machines.
-As an introductory offer, until October 3rd Hawk3DProto are offering the Airwolf HD2x with £330 off the £2995 ex VAT list price.
