European expansion for Formlabs

Formlabs is expanding its operations in Europe, making it easier and cheaper for customers on the continent. This news follows the launch of the Form 1+ at RAPID.

After unveiling the hotly-awaited Form 1+ 3D printer at RAPID in Detroit yesterday (June 10th), Formlabs has also announced that it is making significant inroads in Europe.

The company revealed at the launch of the Form 1+ that it is opening its online European Store. European customers can now immerse themselves in the Formlabs customer experience, which includes dramatically reduced shipping cost, a one-year warranty, local payment facilities and a full service and repair offering.

The first Form 1+ 3D printers will commence shipping throughout Europe at the beginning of July 2014. The business has joined forces with UK-based Express Group to sell and service its pioneering desktop stereolithography 3D printers. Express - which has offices in France, Belgium, Croatia, Bulgaria, and Greece - has extensive experience in electronic sales and servicing, with a track record spanning three decades.

Luke Winston, Formlabs Operations Lead, stated: "We're thrilled to offer better service. Most importantly, we're proud that customers can rest easy with a reliable printer backed by a one-year warranty and local service operations."

The Form 1+ is available for €2,799 (£2260)at Formlabs' web store, which has been completely overhauled and enhanced for customers worldwide.
