Sciaky metal 3D printing systems to improve U.S. defence and power generation programs

An order for Sciaky's Electron Beam Additive Manufacturing (EBAM) systems has been placed to strengthen America's defence and power generation programs.

Any other details of the project are confidential. Scott Phillips, President and CEO of Sciaky, Inc. commented: "Sciaky has a long history of providing innovative solutions to America's military and power generation initiatives. 

"Our EBAM process is the only industrial-grade metal 3D printing technology to produce large-scale parts for land, sea, air, and space applications."

This is not the first time Sciaky has worked within the defence and power industry having sold several systems to aerospace and defence customers last year.

Sciaky began to develop its technology back in 1996, and has since then managed to become one of the most widely scalable metal additive manufacturing (AM) solutions in the industry in terms of work envelope. EBAM systems can produce parts ranging from 8 inches to 19 feet using one of the fastest deposition process on the market, allowing manufacturers to save significant time and and money over traditional manufacturing.
