Stratasys is known for raising the standards of 3D printed products across the board - and the firm has done it again thanks to its prominent position in the growing orthodontics market.

The manufacturer of 3D printers and production systems for prototyping and manufacturing announced this week the immediate availability of VeroDentPlus MED690 dental material for the Objet EdenV series of 3D printers.

VeroDentPlus MED690 facilitates the 3D printing of high-accuracy dental models and offers the appearance of dental stone with fine details and resolution.

Manager of Apel Dental Milling in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Chris Brown commented: "Appearance and accuracy are everything in our business and we're delighted with the details and resolution on the models being produced on our Objet Eden260V 3D Printer with the new VeroDentPlus."

The new material can be utilised in conjunction with all open intra-oral impression and plaster scanners and is optimised for producing models for crowns, orthodontic appliances, implants and bridges.

VeroDentPlus MED690 has added to Stratasys' growing rang of materials for digital dentistry. The materials combine accurate detail visualisation with high-dimensional stability and have been especially designed for use in dental and orthodontic solutions.

They are used by the Objet EdenV line of 3D printers, which produce ultrafine 16 micron layers for exceptionally accurate detail.

Director of Global Dental at Stratasys Avi Cohen remarked: "We are dedicated to bringing added value to our dental lab customers through new 3D Printer and material innovations.

"Our wide range of dental materials continues to set new standards for precision and efficiency."
