Xact Metal has partnered with voestalpine company Uddeholm to supply Corrax tool steel for the additive manufacture of tooling and moulding applications.
These latest installations build on top of the two 3D Systems machines which are already in use at its Competence Center for 3D Printing, and will be dedicated to specific materials such as titanium and stainless steel.
The opening invited customers and investors to see demonstrations of its 3D printing technology and hear from users like Yamaha, which is using its printers to produce strong, lightweight aerodynamic parts.
The collaboration between the Los Angeles-based additive manufacturing (AM) company and Japanese aerospace engineering firm is said to to ‘enhance the adoption and implementation of AM technologies.’
HP has announced the launch of a new polymer 3D printing material, which attendees will be able to get a first-hand look at during the AMUG Conference.
The TCT Group is once again collaborating with the foundation to recognise an up-and-coming neurodivergent young person who has the potential to contribute greatly towards the engineering Industry.
The collaboration, which will see Renishaw using Plastometrex’s PLX-Benchtop system, is said to increase the precision and efficiency of mechanical property analysis and confidence in metal 3D printed parts.
