The 1m+ SLA Advantage
From multi-piece assembly to single-build stereolithography — streamline workflows and shorten delivery cycles for parts over one metre.
A full-size automotive dashboard — printed as one piece, not assembled from several.
Making a one-metre plastic part usually means choosing which compromise you can live with: a long supplier lead time, overseas freight and tariffs, or splitting the part across a smaller printer and gluing it back together.
That last option is the one most manufacturers take, and it is the one that quietly costs the most. Manual assembly introduces structural weak points, tolerance stack-ups and labour that never appears on the quote.
This session looks at what changes when a metre-plus part comes off the machine in one piece.

About this session
Large-format SLA has reached the point where a metre-plus part no longer has to be assembled from pieces. This webinar examines the engineering behind that: how multi-galvo optics stitch laser fields without a structural penalty, how automated calibration holds accuracy across a build area that size, and how closed-loop washing and controlled UV and thermal post-curing remove the labour bottleneck and the EHS hazards that come with manual post-processing at scale.
It is grounded in deployment rather than capability — full-size automotive dashboards, appliance housings, aerospace wind-tunnel models and sacrificial casting patterns — and in what total cost of ownership actually looks like once assembly labour, tolerance rework and freight are counted properly.
Parts built in one piece
Every component below came off the platform as a single build — no splitting, no bonding, no tolerance stack-up.

What you'll learn
- The real cost of the "big part" dilemma. True total cost of ownership of multi-part assembly against a localised one-piece SLA build for parts over one metre.
- How SLA compares at metre scale. A direct comparison against FDM, FGF and SLS on surface finish, dimensional accuracy and post-processing labour.
- What multi-laser stitching costs you structurally. How multi-galvo optics achieve 96.5% tensile strength retention across stitching zones, and how 1,798-point auto-calibration reaches 0.06–0.1mm accuracy.
- What a single-operator workflow changes. How automated transfer, closed-loop washing and controlled post-curing cut delivery from weeks to 23–55 hours and labour cost by 70% in real deployments.
