#258 ExOne CEO Eric Bader: 'We're aim to set new technical benchmarks in binder jetting.'

On this episode of the Additive Insight podcast, TCT's Sam Davies is joined by ExOne CEO Eric Bader.

Bader has been working with ExOne for over a decade, initially in the role of CFO, and as of this year, as the company’s CEO.

In between, ExOne merged with Desktop Metal, later to be acquired by Nano Dimension, and then saw its sand binder jetting assets acquired by Anzu Partners following Desktop’s bankruptcy filing in 2025.

Anzu, a venture capital and private equity firm, has since merged these ExOne assets with voxeljet, and appointed Bader to lead the two businesses as one single legal entity.

As he joins the Additive Insight podcast, Bader sheds light on the dynamics between ExOne and Anzu, detailing why the merger with Voxeljet makes sense, and walking us through the resulting business and product portfolio.

We also discuss High Speed Sintering, ongoing R&D efforts, and what his vision for the new-look ExOne is.
