Dutch Design Week will host a world’s first when Dutch jeweller Dyvsign, unveils a new collection of 3D printed ceramic jewellery.

Created by jewellery designer Yvonne van Zummeren, the PHI Collection will be the first ever collection of 3D printed ceramic jewllery.  According to the Dutch Design Week site, the pieces will take inspiration from the Golden Section and feature 22 carat gold leaf plating.

Yvonne gave a sneak peek of the collection on Instagram with a snapshot of a 3D printed necklace. Incorporating a figure of 8 design, the ceramic piece is printed in a bold blue colour and coated in gold.

Yvonne is already a major name in the 3D printed jewellery world and exhibited her work at last year’s TCT Show. One of her most famous pieces is the La Gerbe, from the Classic Collection, a leaf like cuff bracelet which takes inspiration from the work of Henri Matisse. The designer is influenced by artists, photographers and designers such as Barbara Kruger and Picasso and this can be seen throughout her work.

The PHI Collection will be shown at Dutch Design Week which takes place from 18th – 26th October in Eindhoven.
