UK-based Stratasys reseller SYS Systems has confirmed it will be offering Tritone Technologies’ metal and ceramics 3D printing technology.
Stratasys’ investment in Tritone was announced last month.
Now, SYS Systems is set to distribute Tritone’s MoldJet technology throughout the UK and provide installation, training and application development support.
Tritone’s MoldJet technology is a powder-free process that sees layers of mould forms jetted to form cavities of the inverse part contour geometry before high-density paste is forced into the cavities of the build layer. Layers are dried and hardened by hot air and vacuum, before parts are rinsed in a solvent bath, and put through a debinding and sintering process.
The technology is said to deliver high-density and accurate parts, with Tritone also confident in its ability to deliver strength, conductivity and heat resistance. SYS suggests it will address the growing industrial requirement for serial production within the UK.
“Applications for 3D printing are evolving quickly, and we need to ensure we are offering technology that meets the different requirements of our customers, who are spread across multiple sectors, including aerospace, defence, medical devices and precision engineering,” said Chris Fulton, Managing Director of SYS Systems. “The relationship that Stratasys has agreed with Tritone is a massive boost to our UK clients and means we can now add metal and ceramic technology to our core polymer offer, which is already producing parts for some of the world’s most critical applications.”
