EOS on lowering the barrier to metal 3D printing

Andrew Snow, Senior VP at EOS North America talks to TCT about the entry level M 100 Direct Metal Laser Sintering system and new in-process monitoring tech.

Andrew Snow, Senior Vice President of EOS North America, a company which has seen 402% over the last 4 years, talks to TCT at RAPID about the company’s flagship M 290 industrial 3D printer and its latest product offering, the M 100 an entry level Direct Metal Laser Sintering technology designed to lower the barrier of entry for newcomers to metal 3D printing. 

Andrew also talks about the company’s EOSTATE MeltPool Monitoring technology, launched at formnext powered by tct in November, which can be used to monitor the process and manage the quality of the parts. 

We hear how EOS plans to introduce a new M400 large frame DMLS system, which will incorporate four lasers to increase productivity and lower cost per part in a production environment and we also get some insight into the company’s plans for next year, to roll out a new Optimal Tomography technology, an in-process CT scanning technology.
