EnvisionTEC expands toolbox with 3D printed composites and sand

TCT speaks to EnvisionTEC COO, John Hartner, about how the additive leader is expanding its technology offering with sand printing and composites.

With a near 15-year history in additive manufacturing, EnvisionTEC is one of the leading companies in the sector and continues to be one of the most prominent and must-see stands at the annual TCT Show. This year was no different as the DLP specialist presented its expansive portfolio of machines and materials covering everything from dental applications to sand printing.

TCT Spoke to John Hartner, COO at EnvisionTEC about how as the company grows, it’s finding the need to add more tools to its toolbox, demonstrated in the recently launched SLCOM composite printing machine which saw a complete diversion for the predominately DLP-led company.

“As we get bigger we have to have more technologies, more tools in the toolbox,” John explained. “We know what customers need, we know that they want high quality parts that are functional and moving into production. That move into production is one of the most important things that’s happening in the industry”.
