TCT Show in Time-Lapse: Building a 3D Tech Exhibition

Last September we captured the first frantic day of stand building on the trusty GoPro perched above the show floor. Take a look at how the tradeshow is built from empty hall to full of stands.

Each year Team TCT decamps to the NEC in Birmingham, UK and starts the process of building up TCT Show + Personalize. The time-lapse video below gives an feel of how quickly the stands are built — but this is actually the first day of a two-day build! You'll notice the conference theatre in the back right is already constructed, and the materials are waiting for the contractors to begin. The following day the stands are populated by exhibitors; electricity, nitrogen and other goodies are fed to the machines; and carpets are laid and hoovered.

The planning of the next show build starts as soon as the last show has finished, and the operations team works year round to ensure that over 200 exhibiting companies and more than 6,000 show visitors have a seamless experience — it's all about the technologies after all!

Join us this year at the NEC on the 27th and 28th of September for TCT Show + Personalize — we'll try and get some video of the big stands being built this time (and there's a couple of monsters to look out for!)
