TCT WI3DP Innovator Award 2026: Meet the finalists

The finalists for the 2026 TCT Women in 3D Printing Innovator Award have been revealed.

Since 2019, TCT and Women in 3D Printing have collaborated to shine a spotlight on the female inventors, engineers, researchers and advocates shaping the course of the additive manufacturing (AM) industry.

This year, we asked the public to nominate their chosen innovators, and our final five were selected by a panel of judges from TCT and Women in 3D Printing.

The 2026 TCT Women in 3D Printing Innovator Award nominees are:

Andrea Irigoyen, Mechanical Design Engineer at Honeywell Aerospace

Andrea Irigoyen is a Mechanical Design Engineer at Honeywell Aerospace specialising in additive manufacturing and the optimisation of complex aerospace components for advanced manufacturing applications. Her work pushes design and process boundaries to deliver high-performance, manufacturable solutions, and she also consults on additive manufacturing best practices across the business.

Angeline Goh, Consultant and Additive Manufacturing Technology Leader (Former) at Shell

Angeline Goh is an AM leader with 25 years in the energy sector. As Shell’s former AM Technology Lead, she advanced R&D, digital supply chains, and standards development, including chairing the IOGP AM collaboration to grow global adoption of safe, sustainable AM technologies.

Jill Urbanic, Professor at University of Windsor

Dr. Jill Urbanic, Professor at the University of Windsor, is a leading researcher in additive manufacturing, hybrid processes, and digital fabrication. With over 180 publications and award‑winning contributions, she also co‑founded CAMufacturing Solutions to advance intelligent AM software tools.

Johanna Schwartz, Staff Scientist at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory

Dr. Johanna Schwartz is a staff scientist at LLNL advancing the development of new printable materials through chemistry‑driven additive manufacturing. She pioneered multi‑wavelength and volumetric printing methods and created the SPOC platform for high‑throughput materials discovery, accelerating innovation in next generation polymer components.

Sharon Nai, Senior Principal Scientist & Director at A*STAR Additive Innovation Centre

Dr. Sharon Nai, Senior Principal Scientist at A*STAR SIMTech and Director of the Additive Innovation Centre (AIC), leads major AM R&D initiatives and industry collaborations. With 150+ publications and multiple awards, she is internationally recognised for advancing AM industrialisation.

Here, we meet with each of our finalists to hear about how they got started in AM, the work they're doing today across academia and industry, and what keeps them invested in advancing AM forward.

Now, it's back over to you to select your 2026 winner. Visit tctawards.com to cast your vote before February 9th.

Past recipients of the TCT WI3DP Innovator Award include: Wai Yee Yeong, Professor and Chair, School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Nanyang Technological University Singapore (2019); Eliana Fu, Business Development Manager, Aerospace at TRUMPF (2022); Alba Gonzalez Alvarez, CEO and Founder at Xcure Surgical (2023); Brigitte de Vet, Chief Executive Officer at Materialise (2024) ; and Jonné Messer, global additive manufacturing lead at Ford Motor Company (2025).
