Italian manufacturing service provider, Weerg has announced it has doubled its capacity of HP Jet Fusion 4210 3D printers at its headquarters in Marghera, near Venice.

The arrival of three new Jet Fusion 4210 systems and upgrades to its current three 4200 printers is believed to be the biggest installation of the systems to date.

In addition to its fleet of 3D printers, Weerg operates ten Hermle C42Us with 5-axis CNC machining centres and Mazak Integrex multitasking lathes from its monitored production facility, to fulfil a daily average of 150 orders from its online e-commerce platform. Weerg predicts that number will double inline with its latest installations.

Weerg has also implemented software for process automation that includes a constantly updated ERP system for the daily processing of thousands of pieces, and a nesting software with the exclusive option which allows the "match" on all the available builds in order to further optimise the loads during processing.

"The capacity of the first three printers was already saturated and the current demand is already sufficient to fully cover the production capacity of all 6 machines," says Weerg founder Matteo Rigamonti. "To boost production, we have renewed our trust in HP, since it is, in our opinion, the only technology currently capable of ensuring industrial performance, which has so far enabled us to fully meet the needs of our customers. Moreover, the announced arrival of new materials, recently anticipated by the introduction of the loaded glass that supports the PA 12 nylon, will allow us to further increase the reference panel, finally allowing us to face many still latent professional needs".

Weerg says that 90% of its orders comes from professionals and companies already operating in the additive space. Due to the production capacity of HP printers, Weerg is able to offer a unique and efficient service for the rapid prototyping of a single project, but also for the production of print runs of up to 5,000 pieces with deliveries ranging between 3-9 days.
