At the fifth TCT Asia show in Shanghai, Dutch metal additive manufacturing (AM) company, Additive Industries has signed an Agency Agreement with Sinsun-Tech Corporation Ltd to further expand its operations in China.
Beijing-based Sinsun-Tech specialises in metal AM and metal treatment solutions and will support Additive Industries across China’s industrial markets including aerospace, automotive, medical and general machine building sectors.
The news builds on Additive Industries recent expansion into the Asia Pacific region through the setup of a regional Process & Application Development Centre in Singapore. The company first launched its MetalFAB1 system in 2015 and has since established itself within a number of vertical markets, including the aerospace and automotive industries.
Commenting on the partnership, Daan Kersten, Co-founder & CEO of Additive Industries said: "With Sinsun-Tech we add an experienced partner to our network that will work with us to identify and manage these opportunities that will contribute to our accelerated growth."
Wang Jun, General Manager of Sinsun-Tech added: "We focus on professional customers for industrial metal additive manufacturing solutions, and based on the experience and market knowledge we have gained over the years, we are well positioned to introduce Additive Industries and the MetalFAB1 system especially in the aerospace domain where most of the current additive manufacturing experience is found. We are looking forward to work with Additive Industries and develop our commercial strategy with regards to metal 3D production solutions for aerospace as well as other industrial markets."
At last year’s TCT Asia event there was a strong presence from Dutch companies on the show floor, affirmed by a visit from the Dutch ambassador to China, Mr Ed Kronenburg. In addition, metal 3D printing continues to be a solid trend at the event with a record number of Eastern and Western metal OEMs exhibiting this year.
