Autodesk streamlines 3D printing workflow with software bundle

Duann Scott, Autodesk, explains how the software leader is bringing together all it’s manufacturing software into one suite to deliver a continuous workflow.

TCT speaks to Duann Scott, Business Development Manager for Digital Manufacturing Group at Autodesk, about how the software leader is bringing together all it’s additive and subtractive manufacturing software into one suite to deliver a continuous workflow from design to optimisation and simulation. Duann talks about the recently announced “Future of Manufacturing” portfolio launched at IMTS last month and about the new Autodesk Netfabb 2017 AM toolkit that claims to provide successful printing regardless of the technology you’re using.

“We’re entering a time in AM where people are working together better," Duann commented. "In the past, there’s been silos, these monopolies based on machine, material combinations but now we’re opening up with our software bringing in open partners in hardware and materials so we can work together as a team to grow the industry better”.
