Materialise to host 3D Printing Advice Hub at TCT Show
At TCT Show 2017, Belgian additive manufacturing leader, Materialise, is set to hold its first 3DP AdviceHub offering professional advice to companies looking to use the technology for a specific application or industry.
The 3DP AdviceHub will be held throughout the show on the stand F16 and visitors can book a free slot to get advice about anything ranging from software solutions to prototyping, tooling or manufacturing.
“The state of the art in Additive Manufacturing is moving fast. We are in the privileged position to have been involved – in equal measure – in cutting edge projects and day-to-day challenges around 3D printing for almost 30 years," Philip Hudson, Managing Director at Materialise UK, explained. "We cherish both and see ourselves as a catalyst that helps our customers unlock the full power of AM. At the same time, we are keenly aware that companies out there are at hugely different stages of their individual journeys. We want to lift each and every one to the next level and enable their great and small AM break-throughs. That’s why we want to talk to as many people as possible. No problem is too small, no question stupid – we’re here to help and keen to hear it all!”
Visitors to the stand will also be able to see live demos of the Materialise Magics 3D Print Suite and for the first time in the UK, Materialise will host live demos of Materialise Inspector, a powerful process and quality control tool that allows users to quickly examine every layer of a build, detect errors and certify quality. Visitors will also be able to learn about the new Materialise e-Stage 7.0, a fully automated support generation software for stereolithography users that decreases the build time and resin consumption up to 50%.

Plus visitors can see samples of HP Multi Jet Fusion parts as a result of an on-going partnership which recently saw Materialise become one of the first to develop a fully-fledged machine park for comprising eight HP Jet Fusion 3D 4200 printing machines.
One of the application highlights on the booth will be the Yuniku eyewear solution, the world’s first vision-centric eyewear, based on a fully digital supply chain created by Materialise and HOYA Vision Care. Yuniku uses 3D scanning, parametrisation and process automation in combination with HOYA’s lens positioning know-how to deliver bespoke frames, 3D-printed at Materialise’s Certified Additive Manufacturing facility.
TCT Conference attendees will also have the opportunity to hear from Dr Christian Rossmann, Technical Lead for Structural Analysis at Materialise on the TCT Product Stage about the concept of different AM process simulation techniques, and how they can be used to detect failure-prone designs and setups and help optimise the process.
