3DCompare, a website that compares 3D printing service provider quotes, has today launched a BETA version in the UK.
The website is the first professional comparison platform for 3D printing in the UK. Already active in North America and Europe, 3DCompare links visitors to its website with verified 3D printing businesses around the world and allows the user to compare prices for 3D printed parts.
3DCompare is working to create the largest database of 3D printing service providers in the industry as it aims to become the go-to website for ordering 3D printed components. Through its partners, such as iMaterialise, Shapeways and Makexyz, 3DCompare’s users can see their parts printed in FDM, SLA and SLS, among other technologies.
The process is a simple one. Users upload an STL file to the 3DCompare website, select the materials and measurements units they desire, and then they are able to assess the respective prices and choose their preferred deal. There is also a chat functionality, so customers can ask questions and better understand how best to meet their 3D printing needs.

Companies can align themselves with the 3DCompare network for a monthly fee, as opposed to a percentage of sale agreement. Partnering companies also benefit from a uniquely designed Customer Relationship Management interface.
