The role
As a German speaking Senior Sales Executive you will be responsible for creating a well-qualified pipeline of prospective opportunities, reporting accurate sales projections on the way to negotiating and closing profitable business on the TCT Magazine German Edition.
Our clients include blue-chip organisations, SMEs and one-man-bands — you’ll need to be confident in approaching, pitching and closing them all.
You will need to learn quickly — it’s a technical industry, and to gain the trust of world-class clients you’ll need to speak their language. We’ve got all the know-how you need already, you just need to soak it up.
This role will continue to reinforce the leading position and growth of our highly successful magazines and online portals globally.
You must have a tenacious, can-do approach and a proven track record of exceeding targets.
You will be client-facing from day one and will be an ambassador for the brand on email, phone, and face-to-face. The highest personal and professional standards are required.
European travel will be required so a full passport is needed.
The Detail:
- Drive sales revenue and meet all sales targets and deadlines.
- Actively promote and sell opportunities across the TCT Group to new and existing clients.
- Maintain high levels of outbound prospecting and contacts.
- Develop new business through effective and planned prospecting.
- Manage, renew and develop existing client revenue where applicable.
- Schedule face-to-face meetings with prospects when necessary.
- Ensure that the client/prospect database is constantly updated and accurate.
- Monitor competitor media and events.
- Maintain close contact with clients delivering excellent customer service.
- Attend key industry exhibitions and trade shows for sales prospecting and relationship development when necessary.
- To undertake any other duty commensurate with this post as determined by the company.
- Consistently exceed client and company expectations.
- Travel across the globe to the TCT Events, from USA to Asia.
The Successful Candidate:
Ambitious, highly motivated, driven, self-starter, excellent communication skills.
- Customer-focused individual with a minimum of two years B2B sales experience.
- Team player with ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of print and online advertising would be preferred.
- Passionate about sales and a belief in the value of advertising.
- Experience in consultative selling and objection handling.
- Tenacity and a determination to close the sale.
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude and desire to measurably impact results.
- Excellent written and verbal communications.
- IT skills - Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Web Research, Database Packages.
- Demonstrable experience of working under pressure.
