On the opening day of Euromold 2013 (December 3rd), 3D-Parts Ltd announced that it is delighted to commence operations as supplier of Toyota Motorsport GmbH (TMG) additive manufacturing services to clients in the UK.
3D-Parts Ltd, founded by additive manufacturing and 3D printing industry veteran Andrew Allshorn, will serve as a conduit to the TMG's modern additive manufacturing facilities to customers from the UK. With a long and respected history working in the additive manufacturing sector, Mr Allshorn's extensive experience and expertise is fundamental to this partnership.
TMG, based in Cologne, Germany, since 1979, is a high-performance engineering services supplier to Toyota Motor Corporation and external clients. It is also the home of Toyota’s international motorsport programmes and currently runs the TOYOTA Racing team in the FIA World Endurance Championship.
TMG's expertise in additive manufacturing originates from its time in Formula 1, when a dedicated department was established within the 30,000 square-meter facility. TMG possesses 10 Stereolithography machines and two large-frame laser sintering machines offering a choice of materials, including cutting-edge Nanotool.
Commenting on the agreement and what it means for companies in the UK, Andy Allshorn said: "This partnership between 3D-Parts Ltd and TMG provides UK companies with access to some of the best additive manufacturing services in the world. I have worked with TMG for a number of years and I am delighted to take our partnership to a new level whereby 3D-Parts Ltd will facilitate these services across the UK."

Working with Andy Allshorn and managing this partnership from the UK for 3D-Parts Ltd will be Scott Doe, who has previously worked across different manufacturing disciplines, including with Williams Formula 1.
