3D Systems has announced that Canon Marketing, which is part of the Canon group, has joined the 3D printing industry leader's growing family of resellers.
Canon Marketing will sell 3D Systems' professional 3D printers in Japan - a potentially lucrative move - expanding Canon's offering to include all of 3D Systems' advanced manufacturing portfolio.
Senior Vice-President and General Manager of Advanced Manufacturing at 3D Systems Kevin McAlea said: "Canon Marketing Japan is a trusted and valued provider of industry solutions in Japan, and we are honoured to have our products promoted by them. We are thrilled to bring our direct metal printers to Japan with Canon."

This latest growth move feeds into Canon's strategy to further expansion through business creation and evolve into a service company. The arrangement with 3D Systems will see Canon market and sell all of 3D Systems; advanced manufacturing 3D printers and direct metal printers in the world's third-largest economy.
