3D printing industry giant 3D Systems has made further inroads into the burgeoning Asia-Pacific region.
The company has announced that it has struck a deal with South Korea's largest 2D printer manufacturer Sindoh which will see the organisation distribute 3D Systems' Cube and CubeX consumer 3D printers throughout the growing economy.
Sindoh is the leading Korean office solutions provider with more than 500 reseller channels and decades of proven sales and service expertise. The company intends to expand its website to include 3D content and open 3D printing experience showrooms that are dedicated to introducing South Korean consumers to 3D printing and allowing them to experience the technology firsthand.
The reseller was attracted to the Cube and CubeX due to the 3D printers' affordability and the Cube's certification for home use and safe printability, making them appealing to families, offices and classrooms.
Public Relations Director at Sindoh Cheol-woo Lee commented: "From our investigation of the exciting prosumer and consumer 3D opportunity, we concluded that the Cube is the easiest to use and most intuitive to operate. We are honored to work with 3D Systems, and our entire Sindoh team is thrilled to represent such a great family of products."
Vice-President & General Manager of Consumer Products at 3D Systems Rajeev Kulkarni added: "Sindoh is the most trusted and valued provider of office solutions in Korea, and we are honoured to have them as our representatives. We are very excited to bring affordable at-home 3D printing to Korea."
