3D Systems Software Development and Innovation Centre in Cary, NC
It seems not a week goes by without 3D Systems expanding their business to new territory with more and more facilities popping up around the US to support the company’s pioneering projects in the 3D Printing industry.
Last week the company revealed a new facility in Ohio to support the manufacturing of its range of 3D printer filament. Today, 3D Systems announced the opening of a brand new innovation centre and software development facility in Cary, North Carolina.
The new space will be dedicated to research and development projects for Geomagic software products and 3D Systems latest scanning devices including the Sense and the Capture. The 22,000 square foot facility will play a big role in the development of integrated design to manufacturing solutions and perceptual devices.
“This new innovation centre showcases our on-going commitment to providing the best 3D engineering, design and printing software tools available, with a focus on affordability and usability,” said Calvin Hur, Vice President and General Manager Geomagic Solutions for 3DS. “We are reinventing the engineer's desktop and 3D Systems workflow, providing a seamless digital thread that extends from physical photography, scan-based design and inspection to 3D printing.”
There will also be a showroom, which will feature 3D designs and prints along with world class training facilities which will be used to provide live demonstrations and interactive sessions for customers and partners.
