3D Systems is set to bedazzle the crowds at TCT Show + Personalize this week with its own special brand of 3D printing magic - which this year will involve a showcase of metals and Manchester United miniatures.
The 3D printing industry giant has announced it will demo its newly-added direct metal 3D printers from its recent acquisition of Phenix Systems for the first time at the Birmingham event, in addition to its latest line up of consumer and professional 3D printing machines, engineering and 3D design software from Geomagic and on-demand parts service from QuickParts.
Visitors to the two-day event can also browse the Cube Café, check out the award-winning Cube and CubeX 3D printers, see the latest full-colour 3D printers in action, sample edible builds from the sugar 3D printer and take a closer look at precision metal parts.
The 3D Systems stand is set to showcase consumer applications of the growing manufacturing technique also, such as fashion, jewellery and homeware. While creative, gamified 3D apps such as the success-bound Manchester United 3DMe that allows fans to 3D print their own faces onto their favourite players with their name on the shirt.
App developers and arts and entertainment brands are more than welcome to join the 3D printing revolution with 3D Systems to talk about monetising their intellectual property and creativity using the 3D Systems portfolio.
Moreover, 3D Systems is excited to partner with TCT and Black Country Atelier for the Bright Minds UK Programme and to introduce local teachers and students to the power of 3D printing in the classroom with the Cube. Dozens of Cube 3D printers will be set up in a workshop environment for 500 teachers and students to experiment with a redefined education experience that will spark the innovative and creative spirits of students at any level, all powered by 3D printing.
